Met Walking is an outdoor networking organisation bringing together like-minded business professionals for a casual stroll around scenic Bristol and picturesque countryside locations. Our walks are slow paced and do not require you to be an avid hiker or an athlete to get involved. The events usually last around 1 hour including networking breaks and photo opportunities.
If you can't make our upcoming event and would like to be kept updated on future walks please sign up to our mailing list below. No spam, event correspondence only.
Join us in April for a classic hike around Snuff Mills estate.
We'll be meeting at the Snuff Mills Car Park Car Park for 10am followed by welcome instructions for a prompt at 10.15 set off.
This is often a muddy and steep walk in places, so please bring walking shoes and keep and eye on the weather forecast.
Met Walking is a networking event series around Bristol and the South West that encourages business owners to get outdoors and do business away from the desk on a relaxed scenic walk. If you enjoy the great outdoors or want to add some light exercise to your working day, then Met Walking is the group for you. Each event lasts roughly 90 mins. Full details can be found on specific event pages
One of the perks of Met Walking networking events is we explore many different locations/walks in and around Bristol which keeps our meetings fresh and gives businesses the chance to get to a meeting that suits them. You can see our full list of upcoming events on the site, and please feel free to book yourself on to any that take your fancy!
Many of our events centre around a breakfast, lunch or evening social event with the walking element taking place nearby. Please check out our event calendar for more information or get in touch for further information.
Big companies absolutely have a place at small business networking events like Met Walking. I'm very familiar with the motto of ‘people buying from people’ and I know that a consultative and personal relationship will go a lot further in a sales industry than the traditional ‘Del Boy’ / take your money and run type salesman. Relationship building is very, very important to me and my business and Met Walking facilitates that.
I think it's really useful to have a forum where I can go out and see people every month. They've got a chance to get to know me and vice versa. It helps to be out of the office or meeting room in a different environment. Some walkers bring their friends, dogs and even their kids so it's generally a relaxed atmosphere.
It feels like an environment where people are open to opportunity and looking for something where it's genuine and there's a real connection. I feel like I've learned a lot from these networking events that have been helpful for me not just in business, but also useful life skills.
